When the walls of your world feel like they are caving in...
When the kids are driving you mad...
When you don't know how you will find the money for the necessities...
When work is out of control...
When traffic makes you late...
When you feel so tired, and so worn down that all you want to do is cry...
Stop.
And cry.
Put the kids to bed...
Quit looking at the balance in the checkbook...
Leave your work at the office...
Forget that you were late...
Find a dimly lit room in the house...
Add some aromatherapy...
Some soft soothing music...
Open windows for fresh air...
Shut off the phones...
Lie on the floor surrounded by all of your favorite pillows...
And cry.
Cry until...
You are tired of crying...
Until you cannot cry anymore...
Cry until you are angry...
Cry until you are ready to take action.
Then...
Take ten deep breaths...
In with good...
Out with bad...
Slowly get up...
Wash your face......

Nothing happens on its own.
If you want money in the bank, you have to start putting money in the bank.
If you want to change your career, you have to look for work that appeals to you.
If you want to be more organized, you have to start organizing.
The things you want are out there waiting for you to go get them.
What are you waiting for?

I was never promised a life without struggles and challenges.
Storms come and go and it is not about the storm and what it takes from me, but what it leaves me with in the end.
I'm looking at a sinkhole in my back yard and a mudslide in my crawlspace. My furnace and water heater are submerged in mud and my gas is now shut off which means we are now living without hot water.
But my house is still standing.
My kids still have their beds to crawl into at night.
I still have electricity.
I'm about to learn all about the ins and outs of home owners insurance.
I can vacuum.
I can cook.
I can play in my front yard with my kids.
I'm about to get an education in landscaping.
I can chat with my neighbors.
I can walk the dog around the circle.
I can park my car in the garage at night.
